2 Possible Reasons Why the New York Yankee$ do not put numbers on the backs of their uniforms. posted on 05/05/2009
I think I may have figured out why the New York Yankee$ do not put numbers on their uniforms.
It probably began a long time ago when the Yankee$ management didn't want the press or the public to know who was who...in other words, so no one could tell which over-paid moron to blame for any and all losses that the Yankee$ experience.
Then, in Sir George's twisted genius, he continued this practice of no names on the backs of the uniforms so unless patrons to Yankee Stadium I...and now, Yankee Stadium II buy an overpriced program for the game...they, too, could not tell which over-paid moron to blame for any and all Yankee losses.
It makes perfect sense.
It's still has to make you wonder why the Yankee$ haven't won a World Series since "George Costanza" left???
One major observation after the Orioles' first month of the 2009 baseball season. posted on 05/05/2009
Well, it’s a little over one month into the 09 baseball season, and I figured it’s about time I write something about the my observations of the Baltimore Orioles. Of course, it’s all opinion and we all know what opinions are like.
I look at the standings and the Orioles are perched in last place…and, according to the Orioles’ management, we’ve got everyone else in our sights. Unfortunately, that sight is far, far above us.
Can’t blame to top 3 batters…Roberts, Jones and Markakis are doing what they’re supposed to be doing…getting on base and “setting the table” for the power portion of the lineup. But, that’s not happening…is it the usual early season slump for some of the batters relied upon for the power in 2009? Maybe…but it’s is something, I think, inherent with the Orioles for the last couple of years…there’s no one in this lineup that other teams are “afraid” of…or leery of facing.

Bill Belichick, New England Patriot head coach …a Genius??? posted on 12/25/2008
While calling Bill Belichick a genius seems like a true statement, there was one time, recently, that makes me want to disagree with any statement of such. On December 14, when the Oakland Raiders played the New England Patriots, I had my whole perception of Mr. Belichick blown all to hell. Picture this scenario…4th quarter of the game, New England is up on the Raiders by 29 points with just over 2 minutes left in the game in, what can only be described as a monsoon-type rain storm. The Raiders complete a 4th down play for a 1st down and Genius Belichick disputes the spot of the ball and throws his red “Challenge” flag. Was this really necessary? Belichick’s genius move probably took more time for the officials to look at, discuss the placement, spot and re-measure

My feelings about the Raiders on Friday morning after Thursday night's embarrasing loss. posted on 12/09/2008
So as I’m slowly pulling covers from my head and gingerly getting out of bed, on the Fri. morning after one of the most embarrassing games a Raiders’ fan could bear to watch, I count my blessings that I’m currently unemployed and don’t have to put up with the barrage of zingers and one-liners I would have to endure at the workplace. How could I ever go into work, to face my co-workers, knowing the Oakland Raiders got their butts handed to them by a division rival that’s, quite frankly, not that much of a better team than the Raiders are? As sarcastic as that may sound, you can see where I’m coming from. Hopefully, the Raiders’ fans of this era will not be subjected to those tried & true Eagles jokes (What do you call 53 people, sitting around a

Too Many "Roughing the Passer" Penalties in the NFL posted on 11/27/2008
I'm getting sick and tired of the needless "roughing the passer" penalties in NFL games this season...I realize that the QB is probably the biggest player investment for a team, but this football, not tag. If the qb gets up, then it's not roughing…simple as that. If the refs call the penalty (and it's accepted), then the QB should have to sit out the next play, just like any other “injured” player. In a recent Raider game, Kirk Morrison ran into Denver’s Jake Cutler just as he was passing the ball and got called for it. First, there’s no way Morrison could have let up. Second, how is Morrison supposed to know whether Cutler is going to pass the ball, or bring it back down and run with it? Then, Derek Burgess got called for it, after he was blocked i
